Let’s get scientific for a min…

The electric energy that the plasma pen creates converts gas from the air ( our atmosphere) into “diatomic molecular nitrogen,” which is then dispersed 1mm away from the surface of the skin, meaning the probe never comes in contact with OR pierces the surface of the skin.

This electrical disruption causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal layer (the outermost layer of skin) whilst simultaneously heating the deeper structures of the skin via thermal conduction. Plasma heats & excites the skin cells all the way down to the dermal layer of the skin to create a unique micro-trauma to the internal & external tissue. Causing a energetic response in the fibrobasts of the skins cells- the VERY cells responsible for creating collagen, elastin & GAGs - (aka) suspended hylaronic acid in the skin!

Let’s reframe it in a more fun & simplistic, and less scientific way….

How does it outperform CO2 or Ablative Lasers?

During the plasma procedure, the surface of the skin is lightly ablated with a “fanning” technique, at which time the technician creates little dots. How long will my results last?

Qualifications

Megan has hundreds of hours of experience performing this specific treatment and is licensed and insured. Her device is FDA Cleared and Approved, all the things you should be aware of when looking to have plasma therapy done, as not all plasma machines are high quality and there are a lot of knockoff machines! Don’t be fooled by competitors that use battery-operated pens that lose energy over the course of the treatment causing inconsistent results.

While this treatment is slightly uncomfortable, it should NOT be unbearably painful. Anyone providing services that are excruciating painful, producing marks that are larger than 1mm, or are causing scarring has NOT been trained properly and should not be performing this service.
